How far along: 25 weeks
How big is baby: size of a cabbage, about 14 inches long
Symptoms: Still tired, some more aches and pains, but nothing awful. I’ve been able to go to a prenatal yoga class the last two Tuesdays and it’s really helpful in making sure my muscles stay stretched out
Movement: super active, she may be the most active baby I’ve carried so far
Sleep: Mostly good, except for the sick 4 year old who kept waking up with bad dreams and coughing
Food cravings? hamburgers, fruity candy, salads
Anything making you queasy or sick? I’m mostly okay unless I make a bad food choice like the pop tarts I had for breakfast yesterday LOL
Next appointment: OB appt on 3/4…it was supposed to be the next week, but I had to move it due to a work meeting and I don’t think they had anything available the week after.
Happy viability day to this little one!! This is a big milestone in a pregnancy even though we all want baby to stay put until June.
My OB appointment went great this morning. Baby’s heartbeat was 147. My uterus measured 2 weeks ahead which is still within the normal range. This OB (different from my regular OB) thinks this baby will probably be about the same size as the others I’ve had (around 8-8.5lbs).
How far along: 24 weeks
How big is baby: size of an eggplant, about 12-13 inches long (this is the point when the apps I use start contradicting each other regarding baby’s length because babies start having bigger growth spurts at different times)
Symptoms: Still tired, but hanging in there. Some aches and pains in my backs a hips. I finally made it to a prenatal yoga class which felt amazing. Keeping my muscles somewhat flexible and stretched out has always been very beneficial in my previous pregnancies. I think it’s at least in part why I’ve been able to work up until my due date each time.
Movement: still as active as can be
Sleep: I’ve been sleeping mostly good. There was a night over the weekend where I was up from 4-7am (I was so wide awake that I didn’t even try to go back to sleep until 6:45am). The weighted blanket has definitely been helping getting me back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night. I don’t use it all night, just when I wake up and can’t get back to sleep.
Food cravings? tacos, fruity candy, chicken strips, salads
Anything making you queasy or sick? Mostly good, yesterday was an off morning and I ended up taking a Zofran. I haven’t had to take one for awhile
Next appointment: OB appt on 3/12
How far along: 23 weeks
How big is baby: size of a bunch of grapes, about 12 inches long
Symptoms: I’m still tired, but not quite as much as before. I’ve been able to do a few things around the house. I don’t know if it’s because we’re getting closer to spring or if I’m getting those nesting urges (which do happen even if we’re not coming home with a baby), but I have been running through a slew of projects I want to do this spring. I’m being overly ambitious and there’s no way we will get them all done, but at least I’ll have ideas for the future.
Movement: still as active as can be, even at 4am
Sleep: hit and miss, some nights are pretty good and others not so much. I bought a weighted blanket that I use if I wake up and can’t go back to sleep. It seems to work pretty well at helping me fall asleep so I’m not up for hours in the middle of the night
Food cravings? tacos, fruity candy, chicken strips
Anything making you queasy or sick? I’m doing better in this department, but not 100% yet. Too much sugar or carby things still don’t agree with me
Next appointment: OB appt on 2/20
How far along: 22 weeks
How big is baby: size of an ear of corn, about 11 inches long
Symptoms: I’ve still been pretty tired, but I think part of that was because I caught a bug or something at the beginning of the week. I was exhausted, had a headache, and a little fever. It wasn’t terrible, just draining.
Movement: she’s still moving and shaking in there. On Sunday I was able to feel her movements with my hand. She must have been in just the right position and I caught her at the right time because it is usually several more weeks before that happens.
Sleep: I actually had one night this week where I slept for 8 hours without waking up, which is a big deal for me LOL the next night I woke up at 2:45am and didn’t fall back to sleep until after my alarm went off at 6:30 so that was fun.
Food cravings? tacos, sweets, fruit salad, salad, chicken sandwiches
Anything making you queasy or sick? still breakfast foods, especially on the weekends. I don’t know if it’s because I eat it later than I do during the week so it’s longer between meals or what. I’m really ready to start feeling better in the nausea dept.
Next appointment: OB appt on 2/20
