Down to the last two weeks! Honestly I love having an induction scheduled at this point because I know the end date. My type A personality doesn’t do well with “unknowns” so knowing that we won’t be going past 9/11 is good for my mental health LOL

Weekly Update

How far along: 38+1

How big is baby: about the size of a Pomeranian…closing in on about 7 lbs and getting close to 20 inches. I don’t feel like she’s as big as my own kids were (they were 8.5lb & 8lbs) so I’m curious what her birth weight will be

Symptoms: increased BH with a couple more painful ones thrown in (not super painful, but sometimes I have to stop what I’m doing for a minute and wait for it to pass), heartburn, restless legs at night

Movement: she’s more active when I’m at work because I’m sitting a lot. She’s most active first thing in the morning and in the evenings.

Sleep: Making sure I walk for 30 min in the evenings has made such a huge difference for my sleep. I’m still up several times to pee, but I’m able to go right back to sleep and my restless legs don’t bother me near as much (of course as I’m finishing up this post I started yesterday I’m going on 2 hours of being up in the middle of the night 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️)

Miss anything? not having to pee all.the.time. Not bumping my stomach into stuff constantly LOL

Food cravings? some sweets, but mostly fruit…same as last week. I can seriously not get enough fruit…also salads. This might explain why I lost 1.5lbs between my 36 and 37 week appt

Anything making you queasy or sick? eating too much

Progress: I didn’t have any cervical change from my 36 to 37 week appts so I was still at 2cm. I have another appt Wednesday, but I don’t think I’ll have her check. Last week I wanted to know if there were any changes because we were going to my brother’s wedding 2 1/2 hours away from the house. Since there wasn’t any I’ll just skip it this week. Today I’ve had a couple contractions that were different from the regular BH’s I’ve been having. They felt more like a real contraction although I’m nowhere near labor contractions yet, they just felt differently.

Best moment of the week? We had so much fun at my brother’s wedding on Saturday. Wyatt especially was in his element with so many people around and dancing. Liv took awhile to warm up, but by the end of the night she had her shoes off and was dancing up a storm. I’m glad that this little one didn’t decide to show up last week as I would have hated to miss it.

Here’s this week’s bump pic. I definitely feel smaller than I was with my kids because my belly button is just now starting to pop out and I’m pretty sure it happened much earlier before
